minions review

minions review --

After accidentally killing past bosses from the Tyrannosaurus to Napoleon, the minions alienate themselves and set up a desolate colony in Antarctica. The mirth of living independently wears out and the tribe slips into collective depression due to the lack of a leader. A minion, Kevin swears to bring life back to his clan by finding them a new boss. Along with two others, Stuart and Bob, he embarks on the cumbersome journey that will finally make them meet Gru.

Minions made their way into our hearts with the unabashedly hilarious Despicable Me in 2010. Five years on, these goggle-eyed yellow creatures take on the centre-stage in this origin-story flick with their gibberish blabber and their stock pratfall frolics to amuse us.
finally its good movi to watch

Bajrangi Bhaijaan review

Bajrangi Bhaijaan

Hindi cinema traditionally marks the Eid celebrations – denoting Ramadan’s end – by releasing a wholesome entertainment upon which the entire family can feast. This year, the task has again fallen to hulking action man Salman Khan, which might – after the star’s recent court appearances – seem a little like entrusting Katie Hopkins to say a few nice words before dinner.
Nevertheless, Bajrangi Bhaijaan proceeds with a narrative that proves both self-reflexive and highly emotive. This tale of a man who, in shepherding a lost child, not only unites a family but builds bridges between India and Pakistan boasts big shoulders and even bigger ambitions.
Foremost among these is a recalibration of the Khan star persona: it’s one of those meathead-softeners in which a long-established tough guy plays a bit of a soft touch. An early flashback reveals Khan’s country boy Pawan had to abandon his wrestling career due to extreme ticklishness; now, he spends his days worshipping the monkey deity Bajrang Bali, and merrily dancing like a chicken. (This may be for home crowds what it is for western viewers to watch Arnold Schwarzenegger interacting with those talking meerkats: enough to make one ponder the long-term mental effects of consuming all that whey protein.)

Bajrangi Bhaijaan  Pawan is presumably how Khan now wants to be regarded: as an entertainer, a devout pair of hands, and somebody to be trusted with our children. All these qualities are to the fore when Pawan encounters Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra), a mute six-year-old Kashmiri separated from her mother while crossing from India to Pakistan. To return her, Pawan must interpret the clues his wordless ward inadvertently provides.
That she feels far more comfortable around mosques than her guardian is a biggie; her elation at Pakistan’s victory over India in the cricket both ruffles feathers and points the way home. As these wide-eyed innocents become embroiled in absurd regional disputes, BB overlaps somewhat with last Diwali’s sensation P.K., although there are more than just physical differences between that film’s wily, questioning frontman Aamir Khan and the barrelling Salman.

This script plumps for broad, crowdpleasing comedy over its predecessor’s unusually cutting satire – the chanciest it gets is when Om Puri’s imam conceals Pawan from the authorities in a burqa, setting us to wonder how the mosque found one in his size – and is prone to those odd tonal shifts last experienced in Arnie’s would-be cuddly early 90s vehicles, veering from violence to sentiment.
Still, it remains the kind of package perhaps only Bollywood could now pull together: a movie that feels calculated in its grand design, and yet which plays as wholly sincere and heartfelt on a scene-by-scene basis. Central to its appeal is Malhotra, who emerges as an absolute sweetie, liable to spark queues round the block outside Kashmiri adoption agencies. Shahida’s muteness – pre-empting any offputting precocity – may be even more crucial, but her silent responses are just a treat; whenever the director Kabir Khan cuts to her in close-up, you feel your heart being gently warmed like a marshmallow over a campfire.

'The Simpsons'

The lone holdout has inked the same deal as his fellow castmembers.

I would like to clear up a misunderstanding. I have recently been told that during a period where Harry Shearer believed he had a five-week free period from the Simpsons, I was unaware of this fact, and did in fact request material from him. If so, my bad. I am truly glad he is returning to the show."
Here's some good news in advance of The Simpsons' panel at Comic-Con.
Harry Shearer has signed a new deal to return to the Fox animated comedy, the network announced Tuesday. With the deal, all six principal voice actors are confirmed to return for the historic 27th and 28th seasons.

Star Wars' Han Solo Spinoff in the Works With 'Lego Movie' Directors

These are the directors you are looking for.

These are the directors you are looking for.
When Christopher Miller was an intern at Lucasfilm, he was asked (and geekily accepted) to step into a Stormtrooper costume for one of George Lucas’ Special Edition Star Wars movies.
Now, in a paraphrasing of Darth Vader’s immortal words, a circle is about to be complete.
Miller and his partner Phil Lord, the duo behind The Lego Movie and the hit Jump Street films, are tackling one of the Star Wars anthology projects as their next directing vehicle, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.
The filmmaker team, who write, direct and produce, are stepping up to helm a movie that will focus on a young Han Solo, according to sources

DISNEY

Matt Fogel wrote the script.

Disney is continuing its push into live-action fairy tales, closing a deal for a feature project centering on Prince Charming.
Matt Fogel wrote the script, while David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV as well as Tripp Vinson are on board to produce.
Disney pioneered the recent and lucrative trend of taking either old animated classics or fairy tales and spinning them into live-action features.
And since no other studio has done more to ensconce the idea of Prince Charming into the public mind — with movies such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella — it is most appropriate the studio take a close look at the man as well.
Details are being kept behind a moat, but the script is described as a revisionist take on the fairy tales.
Mandeville's Alex Young will executive produce.
Mandeville is production on Disney’s live-action take of its 1991 classic Beauty and the Beast that stars Emma Watson and Dan Stevens.

Disney Races Past $3B Global Box Office; Sets Studio Speed Record

Ultron and Cinderella

In what is becoming a year of record speed to box office mile-markers for many of the majors, Disney has crossed $3B worldwide. The studio actually hit $3B earlier this week on June 30, significantly outpacing last year’s record which was set on August 5. The total worldwide box office as of today is $3.086B The June 30 milestone came five days after Disney crossed $1B domestic — that one

‘Terminator’ Back With $74M; ‘Minions’ Mints $54.3M – Intl Box Office

terminator genisys

This weekend's international frame across the Top 10 major U.S. studio releases was up about 3.8% versus last. Year-on-year, looking at just the Top 3 films this week versus the Top 3 in the similar 2014 frame, grosses are up around 14%. In both the current and 2014 frames, the Top 3 pics were studio movies

Terminator Genisys review

Marginally better than Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines or Terminator: Salvation but still light years short of either The Terminator or Terminator 2: Judgment Day, this utterly unnecessary (if occasionally entertaining) fifth instalment takes us back to 1984, where history is being rewritten once again. Revisiting the events of James Cameron’s original movie(s), Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is sent spinning through time to protect mother-of-the-revolution Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) from termination by a T-800 killing machine. But the past isn’t what it used to be – Sarah is no longer a waitress but already a warrior, Kyle is behind the times when it comes to foreseeing the future, and Arnie’s iconic cyborg winds up locked in battle with his ageing self who is (he tells us repeatedly) “old, not obsolete”. While the jumbled time-loops and neo-nuclear family gags make for some initial reboot fun, Genisys soon becomes little more than an overblown karaoke rehash of the sci-fi riffs of yesteryear. Cameron’s original 80s production wrung rip-roaring rewards from a smart script and a small budget, but this bloated, smashy-crashy behemoth lacks the role-reversal wit that turned the action of 1991’s T2 into something more than mere spectacle. The fact that major plot spoilers have already been revealed in the trailers further undermines any sense of suspense, while the human relationships remain as sloppily unformed as the liquid metal that once seemed so futuristic. Oh, and former Doctor Who Matt Smith barely gets a look inArnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator Genisys

Toy Story 4: 7 Things To Know About The Sequel imageWe thought the story of Toy Story had been told. The trilogy of Pixar films concluded in 2010 with the brilliant, entertaining and ultimately tear-jerking Toy Story 3. And here we are today, processing the news that Pixar is doing Toy Story 4. It already has writers, a director and a release date. Here's what we know about Toy Story 4 based on Disney's official announcement.

1. It's hitting theaters more than 2 years from now - The release date is June 16, 2017.

2. John Lasseter is directing: John Lasseter directed the first two Toy Story films, as well as Cars and Cars 2 and A Bug's Life.

3. Woody and Buzz will be back - Disney's announcement says it will "open a new chapter in the lives of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the "Toy Story" gang." That's not a ton to go on, but it does vaguely confirm that Buzz and Woody will be at the center of this new story, as opposed to an entirely new set of toys.

4. No cast members have been announced yet - No actors have been confirmed for voice roles yet, but it seems safe to assume that Tom Hanks and Tim Allen would return Woody and Buzz respectively. It's impossible to imagine anyone else voicing the cowboy and spaceman.

5. The writing team has already assembled - Disney says the story was dreamed up by Toy Story veterans John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich. Also attached to the project are Celeste and Jesse Forever writing team Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, along with Pixar's Galyn Susman, who's producing. Here's a look at the story team at work...

6. Though it's unconfirmed, there's a good chance Bonnie will be back - (Toy Story 3 spoilers ahead!) There's no mention of Bonnie in Disney's announcement, but we know from the Toy Story TV special Toy Story OF TERROR! and the upcoming Toy Story that Time Forgot (coming to ABC next month) that the TS toys are still in the care of young Bonnie, the adorable little girl who adopted Andy's toys at the end of Toy Story 3 (sniffle).

Assuming these TV specials apply to official Toy Story canon -- they do feature the original characters and voice actors -- it's likely that Bonnie will be the toys' current owner. But as we said, that's not officially confirmed yet. This would be barring a prequel or some other story inserted somewhere in Andy's timeline, (but let's hope that's not the case.)

7. Pixar's John Lasseter is really excited about this - From what Lasseter says, once the idea was conceived, they had to bring it to the big screen. Here are John Lasseter's exact words:

"We love these characters so much; they are like family to us. We don’t want to do anything with them unless it lives up to or surpasses what’s gone before. ‘Toy Story 3’ ended Woody and Buzz’s story with Andy so perfectly that for a long time, we never even talked about doing another ‘Toy Story’ movie. But when Andrew, Pete, Lee and I came up with this new idea, I just could not stop thinking about it. It was so exciting to me, I knew we had to make this movie—and I wanted to direct it myself."

I get why people would be wary of a sequel, given how perfectly Toy Story 3 wrapped up. But Lasseter seems to appreciate that, and the optimist in me believes this sequel is happening because there's a great idea, and not just to give Disney more Toy Story box office dollars. With that said, Toy Story of Terror was a fantastic TV special, and evidence that there are more toy humor and toy adventures to be had among these characters.
